The 3rd International Forum on Quantum Metrology and Sensing

MEXT Q-LEAP is 10-year R&D program to achieve quantum leaps in economical and societal goals by taking advantage of Quantum Technology. In the quantum metrology and sensing technological area of Q-LEAP, the Quantum Solid Flagship Project and the seven Basic Foundation Researches started in since 2018. These projects are producing outstanding results toward applications such as magnetoencephalography, automotive battery diagnostics, infrared spectroscopic analysis, and seismic measurement. In addition, the Quantum Life Flagship Project has launched this year. The challenges of the new Quantum Life Flagship Project are to create quantum life technology and innovate in medicine and life sciences.

The International Forum on Quantum Metrology & Sensing (IFQMS) promotes international collaborations and new-generation activities for success in the challenging field of the Quantum Metrology & Sensing. In particular, the 3rd IFQMS aims to deepen the mutual understanding between the original research area and the quantum life research area launched this year. Due to the outbreak and spread of the COVID-19, considering the safety and health of all participants, the 3rd IFQMS will be held online. Hope you enjoy this forum as usually.
