Naokazu Takemoto, State Minister for Science and Technology Policy of the Cabinet Office, visited the Oookayama Campus of Tokyo Tech on September 1, and the news was published in “Tokyo Tech News”.
During the tour, He also visited the laboratories of Professor Mutsuko Hatano and Associate Professor Takayuki Iwasaki of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering to observe research on solid-state quantum sensors. The laboratory is the research site for the “Diamond Solid Quantum Sensor,” which was set as a priority technical issue in the “Quantum Technology and Innovation Strategy,” which was finally reported by the Cabinet Office in January 2020. It is also a base for industry-government-academia collaboration to promote the MEXT – Quantum Leap Flagship Program (Q-LEAP).
