The 8th Quantum Solid Flagship Seminar

The 8th Quantum Solid Flagship Seminar was held in the Tokyo Tech meeting room and online (via zoom) on Monday, November 20th. The speaker, Dr. Katrin Kobe, is the CEO of Bosch Quantum Sensing, a start-up company from in Bosch.

Bosch Quantum Sensing is a corporate start-up within Bosch Automotive Electronics, which was founded in January 2022 to bring quantum sensing out of the lab, into commercialization. Dr. Kobe jointed Bosch in September 2021 and became CEO of Bosch Quantum Sensing.

In her lecture, she shared her confident vision for the quantum sensing world.
She explained how to productize the NV diamond sensor and emphasized the importance of miniaturization of quantum senseor for industrialization.

She also discussed which applications Bosch is considering, also talked about the challenges to commercialization and strategies on how to overcome them.

Around 40 people participated in the seminar, both on-site and online. Bosch Japan also accompanied Dr.Kobe and an enthusiastic Q&A session was held. The participants were able to share their expectations and technical challenges for NV diamond quantum sensors.
