[Report] QI2024 / 7th IFQMS

Quantum Innovation 2024 was held from Monday, October 21 to Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Ochanomizu sola city, and the 7th International Forum on Quantum Metrology and Sensing (7th IFQMS) was held as a joint program at the same venue on October 22.
The IFQMS was launched in 2019 as part of the international collaboration and young researcher development initiative under the MEXT Quantum Leap Flagship Program (Q-LEAP) for Quantum Metrology and Sensing. Celebrating its 7th edition, this event promoted interdisciplinary exchanges to foster innovation through quantum metrology and sensing sessions centered on solid-state quantum sensors, as well as a joint poster session.

Quantum Sensing Track Invited Talks(Oct. 22)
Invited talks were delivered by nine distinguished researchers from Japan and abroad who lead research in the fields of Solid-State Quantum Sensors and Quantum Optical Sensing.
The audience submitted numerous questions and comments to all invited speakers, demonstrating high interest in this field.

Joint Poster Session(Oct. 22)
On the afternoon of the second day of QI2024, the poster session was held. Across the three tracks—Quantum Computing Track (PO-CP), Quantum Sensing Track (PO-SE / Q-LEAP 7th IFQMS Joint Session), and Quantum Cryptography & Communication Track (PO-CC)—approximately 160 presentations were delivered, primarily by young researchers.
The venue attracted a large turnout, fostering vibrant discussions between participants and poster presenters.
